Destination Exploration: Engineering

Another fantastic program offered by DASEF!

By Bethany, Macaroni Kid Dover Publisher for Sponsor July 19, 2016

The Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation is hosting an awesome program for your little thinkers called "Destination Exploration:  Engineering".  The high quality and fun learning experiences offered by DASEF are not to be missed!

Come to the Outpost for the opportunity to study it, design it, and build it!  Drop off your young engineer for a fascinating day of engineering. They will learn about catapults and build their own to take home, study the physics of bridges and build two different models, and learn how hydraulics are used to transfer energy and increase force by building their own hydrolift. Forces will also be investigated with marble run kits, our marble roller coaster design activity, and simple pinball machines. And, since engineers need to know about robotics, your child will learn about them and practice maneuvering one of our electronic robotic arms. On top of all this, they will also check out the action-reaction principles of rocketry. So much science packed into a day of fun!
