Abbott’s Mill Nature Center features beautiful trails that take visitors through lush deciduous and Atlantic White Cedar woodlands. Sections of the trail include a handicap-accessible boardwalk that follows a clear coastal plain stream to open meadows, a picnic area, and a garden for Wildlife idea garden. A historic working gristmill and its water source, a 20-acre pond lend a sense of the area's rich human history.
Our Visitor Center has a live animal collection, “please touch” and animal displays, and a kids’ corner with puzzles and stuffed animals. Abbott’s sits on a 376-acre piece of Milford Millponds Nature Preserve. The site is open to the general public and trails are pet-friendly. Parking is available at the visitor center.
